A specialist SEND school in Hounslow is looking to expand its bank staff team and is recruiting passionate, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to support pupils on an ad-hoc basis throughout the academic year.

About the School

This welcoming specialist school supports pupils with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Complex Medical Needs and associated communication needs. The school provides a caring, structured environment where every pupil is supported to develop academically, socially and independently.

Responsibilities

Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning.
Encourage communication, independence and engagement.
Promote positive behaviour using consistent strategies.
Support pupils with sensory activities and structured routines.
Assist with personal care where required.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff.
Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Ideal Candidate

Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable.
A caring, patient and resilient approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Comfortable working with pupils with complex needs and Autism.
Willingness to support personal care if required.
Team Teach training is advantageous but not essential.
