Engineering Supervisor
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Excellent Benefits
Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer ready to take the next step into leadership, or an established Engineering Supervisor looking for a new challenge?
We're recruiting for an Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of four engineers within a prestigious commercial building. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring a team while remaining technically involved, with the role being approximately 70% supervisory and 30% hands-on.
The Role
As the Engineering Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a small engineering team, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You'll also remain hands-on when required, providing technical support and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise, support and develop a team of 4 engineers.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive electrical maintenance.
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across electrical building services.
* Plan daily workloads and ensure service levels are achieved.
* Supervise specialist contractors and review completed works.
* Ensure statutory compliance, health & safety and site procedures are followed.
* Build strong relationships with the client and provide excellent customer service.
* Produce maintenance reports and ensure accurate record keeping.
* Support the Account Manager with the smooth running of the contract.
Requirements
* NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* Strong background in commercial building maintenance.
* Previous experience as a Lead Engineer, Supervisor or Senior Engineer.
* Confident fault-finding and maintenance skills across electrical building services.
* Good communication and leadership skills.
* A proactive attitude with a desire to develop and motivate others.
