Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: London
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their team covering London and the surrounding South East.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor seeking strong earning potential, a varied portfolio of projects, and long-term career progression within a respected consultancy. This is a survey-focused role, offering a consistent pipeline of work across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and public sector properties.
THE ROLE
As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys across a wide range of properties throughout London and the South East.
Working independently with the support of an experienced operations team, the Asbestos Surveyor will deliver high-quality surveying services while ensuring full compliance with HSG264, current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across a variety of property types
Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports
Surveying commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and public sector properties
Managing your own workload efficiently with support from an established operations team
Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
BOHS P402 qualification (essential)
Minimum of two years' experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor
Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation
Previous experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable
Full UK driving licence
Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work
