Contracts Manager – Social Housing
Location: Hull
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: Up to £55,000 (DOE) + Car Allowance + Bonus
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established national contractor delivering maintenance, refurbishment and compliance services across the social housing sector.
Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee planned maintenance, voids and M&E works across a large social housing contract in the Hull area.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to lead multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
You'll manage directly employed operatives, subcontractors and key client relationships while driving operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Manage planned maintenance, voids and M&E programmes.
Lead site teams and subcontractors to achieve performance, quality and safety targets.
Build strong relationships with clients, residents and internal stakeholders.
Monitor contract performance, budgets and KPIs.
Carry out site inspections to ensure works meet specifications and compliance standards.
Plan resources and programmes to maximise efficiency.
Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
Chair progress meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with commercial teams on forecasting, variations and profitability.
Mentor and develop operational teams.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager within social housing, property maintenance or refurbishment.
Construction qualification or relevant trade background.
Strong understanding of planned works, voids and M&E projects.
Experience managing budgets, programmes and multiple teams.
Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation (SMSTS, IOSH, CSCS desirable).
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
IT literate.
Full UK Driving Licence.
DBS check required.
