Maintenance Engineer (Days)
Salary: Up to £35,000 + Overtime Available
A well-established business is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their engineering skills within a supportive environment that offers extensive training and long-term career progression.
The Role
Working on a continental days shift (7:00am - 7:00pm), you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of production and warehouse equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
Typical equipment includes:
Automated conveyor systems
Conveyor belts and bearings
Electric motors
Sensors and relays
Packaging machinery
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Pallet handling equipmentYou'll work alongside an experienced engineer on shift, with additional engineering support across weekends, providing plenty of opportunities to learn and develop.
What We're Looking For
We're open to candidates from a warehouse, food production, packing, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment.
Ideal candidates will have:
A practical mechanical and/or electrical maintenance background
Experience working with production or automated machinery
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good fault-finding and problem-solving skillsRelevant engineering qualifications or previous experience with conveyor systems, packaging machinery, hydraulics, or pneumatics would be advantageous but are not essential.
