Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join Bolton Council on a 12 month fixed-term contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers on employment legislation, HR policies and best practice.
* Manage a varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, capability, performance management, flexible working and dignity at work matters.
* Support managers through formal HR processes, including investigations, hearings, consultations and appeals.
* Advise on recruitment and selection processes, onboarding and workforce planning activities.
* Support organisational change projects including restructures, redeployment, TUPE transfers and consultations.
* Build positive working relationships with Trade Unions and support consultation meetings where required.
* Produce contracts, letters and HR documentation in line with employment legislation and Council policies.
* Maintain and update HR systems, ensuring employee records are accurate and confidential.
* Analyse HR management information and workforce data to identify trends and support informed decision-making.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a generalist HR Advisory or HR Officer position.
* Experience managing employee relations casework from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and capability cases.
* Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Experience supporting organisational change, restructures or consultation processes.
