Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking to join a growing, forward-thinking manufacturing business investing heavily in its future?
Our client is a global manufacturer with an outstanding reputation for designing and producing specialist engineered products supplied to a wide range of industries worldwide. Following significant investment in a brand-new production facility, they are expanding their machining team and are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to play a key role in their continued growth.
The Role
Working within the toolroom, you'll manufacture precision components for both in-house tooling and customer orders, producing high-quality, low-volume complex parts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working closely with design and engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Programming and operating CNC lathes and milling machines
Using 3D CAD models to generate machining programmes via CAM software
Producing precision components to exacting quality standards
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Supporting the design and manufacture of tooling, fixtures and jigs
Working collaboratively to achieve production targets and delivery deadlinesTo be successful, you'll have:
At least 2 years' CNC machining experience within a precision engineering environment
Experience using Heidenhain controls
The ability to machine small batches of complex, high-precision components
Confidence working from engineering drawings
A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a teamDesirable experience includes:
Inventor CAM or similar CAM software
Designing or manufacturing fixtures and jigs
Sliding head lathe experience
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles
Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality environmentWhat's in It for You?
