Novara People are currently recruiting for experienced MIG Welders to join a busy structural steel manufacturing and fabrication environment in Halifax.

The company manufactures steelwork and structural steel components for major construction and infrastructure projects. This is a great opportunity for a skilled MIG Welder looking for a permanent night shift pattern and regular overtime opportunities.

The Role

As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating steel components to a high standard, working from drawings and specifications to produce quality structural steelwork.

Your duties will include:

MIG welding steel components and fabrications.
Working from engineering drawings and welding specifications.
Carrying out fillet and other structural welds to the required standard.
Ensuring welds are completed accurately and to a high-quality finish.
Working safely and efficiently within a busy fabrication environment.
Carrying out visual quality checks on completed work.
Working as part of an experienced production and fabrication team.

Skills:

Previous experience as a MIG Welder within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Experience welding steel components and fabrications.
The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A reliable approach to work and good attendance
