English & Maths Tutor (GCSE & Functional Skills) – Music Industry College
Central London | 1 day per week (Tuesday) | £130–£200 per day
Horizon Teachers is recruiting an experienced English and Maths tutor for a specialist post-16 music industry college in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a creative, supportive environment, delivering GCSE catch-up and Functional Skills sessions to a small, engaged group of 16-18 year old music students.
The role:
One day per week – Tuesdays, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Full academic year (term time only)
Small class sizes
Delivering GCSE English and Maths catch-up, along with Functional Skills, to students pursuing careers in the music industry (musicians, producers, singers, rappers, and music business students)
£130–£200 per day, depending on experienceAbout the college:
This college is a full-time, fully funded music industry college for 16-19 year olds, blending creative industry training with core academic support to help students achieve their GCSE English and Maths, or Functional Skills equivalents, alongside their music studies.
We're looking for someone who:
Holds QTS or has strong experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills English and Maths
Enjoys working with young people in a non-traditional, creative educational setting
Can adapt teaching style for small groups and mixed ability levels (GCSE resit and Functional Skills)
