GDS Partners are recruiting an EHS Advisor on behalf of a leading M&E Contractor for a permanent position based in Cardiff, Wales.

About the client:

Our client is a well-established Mechanical & Electrical Contractor delivering large-scale projects across the commercial, industrial, healthcare, data centre, and mission-critical sectors throughout the UK. They have built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects safely and efficiently and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance across all operations.

About the role:
Permanent position based in Cardiff, Wales.
Opportunity to work on major M&E and construction projects.
Join a respected contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work.
Salary of £60,000 - £75,000 depending on experience.
Excellent package and long-term career progression. Main duties will include, but not be limited to:
Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and workplace risk assessments.
Promote a proactive Health, Safety, and Environmental culture across all project teams.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and UK Health & Safety legislation.
Review RAMS, permits to work, and other site safety documentation.
Support site management teams with Health & Safety advice and guidance.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings.
Monitor subcontractor compliance and maintain high HSE standards across the site.
Produce HSE reports and maintain accurate site records.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies where required. Requirements:

Relevant Health and Safety Qualification (e.g. Degree, NEBOSH)
Previous experience within the construction or M&E sector.
Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
Experience carrying out site audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Full UK Driving Licence. Salary & Benefits:
Salary of £60,000 - £75,000 + Package depending on experience.
Ongoing training and professional development.
