Role Description

We are currently seeking an experienced QA/QC Lead to join the project team in Blyth, United Kingdom.

This role is responsible for ensuring all mechanical works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Compliance: Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures across the project lifecycle, ensuring all mechanical installations comply with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.

Inspections & Monitoring: Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems (including HVAC, piping, and associated services), monitor subcontractor performance, and manage mechanical snagging items to close-out.

Documentation & Testing: Review and approve method statements, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and technical submittals. Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, inspection records, test results, and quality reports.

Issue Resolution: Record and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensure corrective actions are fully implemented, and support the close-out of technical issues.

Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and consultants. Attend site meetings, quality reviews, and engineering meetings to promote continuous improvement.

Commissioning Support: Assist the commissioning process by verifying all quality documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.

Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of QA/QC experience within mechanical construction.

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, documentation standards, ITPs, method statements, and inspection of mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, etc.).

Sector Knowledge: Experience in data centres, industrial, or mission-critical projects is highly advantageous.

Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and outstanding communication and team collaboration abilities.
