An established multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its growing team in Witney, Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a Structural Engineer looking to work on a varied portfolio of projects across the commercial, education, defence, residential and public sectors within a collaborative and supportive environment.

As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering practical, sustainable and cost-effective structural solutions from concept through to project completion. Working closely with architects, technicians and fellow engineers, you will ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical and professional standards while building strong client relationships.

The Role

The successful Structural Engineer will be responsible for:

Designing practical and economical structural solutions across a range of building projects.

Producing structural calculations, technical sketches and design information.

Carrying out structural inspections and surveys, producing clear technical reports.

Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver coordinated solutions.

Assisting with fee proposals, tender submissions and business development opportunities.

Developing long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business.

Ensuring designs comply with current British Standards and relevant building regulations.

Requirements

To be considered for this Structural Engineer position, you should have:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with ICE or IStructE.

Experience working on new build, refurbishment and alteration projects.

Knowledge of structural materials including steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry.

Experience using BIM software and 3D modelling packages such as Revit.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written communication.

The ability to produce accurate structural calculations and technical reports.

Salary & Benefits £40,000-£45,000
