Engineering
Immediate Start
£36k - £43k Annual
Full-Time
You’ve built a good grounding across fire and security systems. Now you want somewhere that will help you strengthen it.
This role is with an established fire and security company that has been operating for more than 30 years. They invest in product training and ongoing development, making it a good next move for an engineer who already has hands-on experience but doesn’t want to stop learning.
The work is predominantly across commercial sites within the CB and CO postcode areas. There may occasionally be travel further afield when another region needs support, so it will suit someone comfortable helping nationally from time to time.

You’ll be responsible for:

Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems
*
Finding and repairing faults
*
Working on conventional and addressable fire alarms
*

*
Completing small installations and commissioning
*
Keeping service documentation accurate and up to date
*
Participating in the on-call rota
You don’t need to know every manufacturer or have spent decades in the industry. However, you will need practical experience across fire and security systems, with the confidence to service equipment and investigate faults without constant supervision.
What’s on offer
*
£36,000–£43,000 basic salary
*
Overtime, standby and call-out payments
*
OTE above £50,000
*
Company van and workwear
*
Phone, laptop and tablet
*
25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays
*
Pension scheme
*
Product training and ongoing development
*
Employee discounts and wellbeing benefits
You’ll need a full UK driving licence and must be able to pass BS7858 vetting and an Enhanced DBS check.
