Our client is a well-established manufacturing business supplying high-quality products into the construction sector. With an excellent reputation built on quality, reliability and customer service, they're now looking for an experienced Sales Team Manager to lead their sales function and support the next phase of the company's growth.

This is a genuine leadership role.

If you're looking for a position where you'll spend your time managing your own customer portfolio, this isn't it.

Instead, you'll be responsible for leading, coaching and developing an established team of sales professionals, creating a high-performance culture and driving commercial success through your people.

The Role

Leading a team of sales professionals, you'll inspire, motivate and develop your team to consistently exceed performance expectations.

Working closely with senior leadership, you'll implement sales strategies, monitor performance, improve processes and ensure the team delivers an outstanding customer experience while achieving ambitious commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team.

* Create a positive, accountable and motivated team culture.

* Drive performance against revenue and gross profit targets.

* Develop and implement effective sales strategies.

* Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities to improve performance.

* Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, coaching sessions and performance reviews.

* Support the team with key customer relationships when required.

* Work collaboratively with other departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

* Identify and implement continuous improvements across the sales function.

About You

We're looking for an experienced people leader who knows how to get the very best from a sales team.

You'll have a proven track record of developing people, improving performance and delivering commercial growth through strong leadership.

You'll ideally have:

* Previous experience managing a successful sales team.

* A background within manufacturing, engineering, distribution or another product-based business.

* Excellent coaching, mentoring and leadership skills.

* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse performance and drive improvement.

* Experience implementing sales strategies and delivering business growth.

* A collaborative and motivational leadership style.​​​​​
