Ecologist – Highways Infrastructure

PACE Infrastructure is recruiting experienced Ecologists to join major National Highways projects on the M1 Junction 28 and M54 improvement schemes.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure projects with long-term work available.

Responsibilities

* Carry out ecological surveys and site inspections.

* Advise construction teams on environmental compliance.

* Monitor protected species and sensitive habitats.

* Deliver ecological mitigation and ensure licence compliance.

* Produce site records and ecological reports.

* Liaise with Environmental Managers, clients and regulatory bodies.

* Support the delivery of works in line with environmental legislation and project requirements.

Requirements

* Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.

* CIEEM membership (preferred).

* Previous experience working on highways, rail or major infrastructure projects.

* Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and protected species.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

* Protected species licences (advantageous but not essential).

* CSCS card (preferred).
