Graduate Teaching Assistant / Grad TA – Weston-super-mare
Location: Weston-super-mare
Hours: Full-time | 08:30 – 15:30 (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £92 – £110 per day
Start: September
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant / Grad TA to join an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ primary school in Weston-Super-mare.
This is a full-time role supporting pupils throughout the school day, both in and out of the classroom, helping them to flourish academically, socially and emotionally within a warm, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is valued.
The school is highly regarded within the local community and prides itself on creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for both pupils and staff. It offers bright, modern classrooms, excellent facilities and high-quality resources, all supported by a friendly, dedicated and collaborative team who are passionate about making a real difference every day.
The Role:
* Graduate Teaching Assistant / Grad TA
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
* Helping to create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment
* Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
* Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
The Ideal Candidate:
* Hold a Bachelor’s Degree with a strong academic track record
* Has previous experience working with children in a primary school setting
* Is patient, reliable and passionate about supporting young learners
* Can work effectively as part of a team
* Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
