Location: Maidstone (Covering London & the South East)

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Company Vehicle or £5,000 Car Allowance (Package up to £60,000)

Permanent | Full Time | Monday-Friday | 37.5 Hours

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to join a leading provider of Facilities Management and Construction services, supporting projects across the Defence Estate throughout London and the South East.

This is a hands-on, site-based position offering the opportunity to work within secure, highly regulated environments, supporting the safe delivery of maintenance, refurbishment and construction activities across a diverse property portfolio.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams, project managers and subcontractors, providing practical Health & Safety guidance while promoting a positive safety culture across multiple live sites.

Although the role includes some environmental responsibilities, the primary focus is Health & Safety and CDM compliance.

The Role

As the HSE Advisor, you'll act as the Health & Safety lead across a variety of operational and project activities, ensuring compliance with legislation while supporting site teams with practical advice and guidance.

This is a predominantly site-based role requiring regular travel throughout London and the South East, with a company vehicle or car allowance provided.

Key Responsibilities

Provide practical Health & Safety advice across construction, refurbishment and facilities management activities.
Support compliance with CDM Regulations and current Health & Safety legislation.
Carry out regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
Review RAMS, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
Promote a proactive Health & Safety culture across operational teams and subcontractors.
Support Project Managers and Engineers with compliance and best practice.
Liaise with clients, stakeholders and management teams regarding HSE performance.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across Health & Safety processes.About You

Essential Skills & Experience

Minimum of 5 years' practical Health & Safety experience within a CDM environment.
Strong knowledge of construction and facilities management Health & Safety practices.
IOSH membership.
Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Comfortable travelling across London and the South East.
Eligible and willing to obtain and maintain SC Security Clearance.Desirable

Existing SC Clearance.
CMIOSH status.
Experience within Defence, MOD or other secure environments.
Background supporting construction, refurbishment or hard FM projects.
