Are you a Part 2 or Part 3 Architectural Assistant looking to gain hands-on experience across all RIBA stages in a supportive, design-led environment?

A leading Chartered Architectural Practice based in Leeds is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Part 2 or Part 3 Architectural Assistant to join their collaborative team. With over 30 years of success delivering commercial, industrial, retail, and residential projects throughout the UK, this medium-sized practice places sustainability, innovation, and quality design at the heart of everything they do.

This role is ideal for candidates looking to develop their professional skills, with the added benefit of full sponsorship for RIBA Part 3 studies, providing a clear pathway to Architect registration and long-term career progression within the practice.

Key Responsibilities

As a Part 2 or Part 3 Architectural Assistant, you will support the design and delivery of a wide range of projects:

Assisting with concept and detailed design, from early feasibility to construction stages.

Preparing planning drawings, technical details, and presentation materials.

Supporting senior staff in client meetings, design reviews, and site visits.

Contributing to BIM models and technical drawing packages (Vectorworks experience desirable; training available).

Supporting sustainable design initiatives and bringing fresh, innovative ideas to projects.

Participating in internal design critiques and project reviews to develop professional knowledge.

About You

RIBA Part 2 qualified or Part 3 (pre-qualification) with some UK practice experience.

Strong design, technical, and presentation skills, with attention to detail.

Understanding of UK planning policy, building regulations, and construction methods (mentorship provided).

Proficiency or willingness to learn BIM-compatible software (Vectorworks advantageous).

Genuine interest in sustainable architecture and innovative design solutions.

Proactive, collaborative, and eager to grow professionally with mentorship support.
