Want to use your housing expertise to shape the next generation of housing professionals? Join Peabody as a Housing Skills Trainer and help learners build the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed.

What You’ll Do

Your typical day could start with planning and delivering engaging learning sessions for apprentices, either in the classroom, online, or in the workplace. You might then meet with learners on a 1-2-1 basis to review progress, provide coaching and feedback, and support them towards achieving their apprenticeship goals. Later in the day, you could be developing learning resources, preparing learners for End Point Assessment (EPA), or collaborating with managers to create meaningful workplace learning opportunities.

As a Skills Trainer, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality Housing apprenticeship programmes, supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in their roles and progress in their careers. Managing a caseload of approximately 40 apprentices, you'll provide teaching, coaching, assessment and tailored support to maximise learner engagement, achievement and progression.

You'll play a key role in improving learner experience, attendance, retention and outcomes while contributing to the Academy's quality of education, safeguarding culture, curriculum delivery and continuous improvement activities. What We’re Looking For

You're passionate about helping others learn and grow. You'll enjoy motivating apprentices from a variety of backgrounds and creating engaging learning experiences that bring housing practice to life.

Whether you're already an experienced trainer, assessor or coach, or you're currently working in housing and looking to move into learning and development, we'll support your professional growth, including funding a Level 5 Learning & Skills Teacher Apprenticeship if required.

To be successful in this role, you have:

* A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one through a Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship

* A Level 2 qualification in English and Maths, or willingness to achieve this

* Strong vocational knowledge and experience within Housing and Property Management

* Knowledge of Housing apprenticeship standards and learner journeys

* Experience of teaching, coaching, training, mentoring or assessing, or strong vocational expertise that can be applied to learning delivery

* Strong communication, IT and organisational skills

* The ability to support learners to achieve positive outcomes and reach their potential

* An understanding of apprenticeship quality requirements and learner progress monitoring

* Knowledge of safeguarding and Prevent, and the importance of creating a safe learning environment

* A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and personal accountability

* This role will require an enhanced DBS check.
