We are seeking a dynamic Production Operative to join our client's manufacturing team.
Job Title: Production Operative
Hours: Monday to Friday 06:00 am - 2:00 pm
Pay: £12.71 an hour
Job Type: Full time; Temporary Ongoing
Location: Cullompton
About the Production Operative role:
This role involves assembling components and products with precision and attention to detail, contributing to the efficient production of high-quality goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with electrical systems, and experience using various hand and power tools.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Operative:
Assemble electronic and mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
Operate machines to facilitate automated assembly processes
Winding copper wire into coils and onto looms
Conduct assembly of circuit boards and coil winding with accuracy and care
Perform routine inspections of assembled products to ensure quality standards are met
Follow technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions precisely
Assist in troubleshooting assembly issues by applying electrical and mechanical knowledge
Maintain a clean and organised workstation to uphold safety standards
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets efficiently Requirements of the Production Operative:
Proven experience in assembly operations, ideally within electronics or mechanical manufacturing environments
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and assembly techniques
Basic electrical experience and understanding of electrical components and circuitry
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
Good attention to detail
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and quality assurance
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Good manual dexterity and the physical ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
Soldering or assembly experience (preferable)
