HGV Class 2 Trade Waste Driver
Location: Corby, NN17
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Hours: Guaranteed 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Shift Time: 6:00am – 4:00pm
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Trade Waste Driver to join a busy and well-established waste management operation based in Corby.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering guaranteed hours, regular routes, and the chance to work within a supportive team delivering a high-quality service to commercial customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled commercial trade waste collections
* Safely operate an HGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicle (RCV)
* Complete daily vehicle safety inspections and defect reports
* Ensure collections are completed efficiently and to schedule
* Maintain excellent customer service at all collection points
* Follow all Health & Safety procedures, drivers’ hours regulations, and company policies
* Complete all paperwork and electronic records accurately
* Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy
Requirements
* Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
* Valid Driver CPC qualification
* Digital tachograph card
* Previous Class 2 HGV driving experience
* Trade waste or waste management experience is desirable but not essential
* Good communication skills and a reliable, positive attitude
* Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on environment
