Your new companyI'm working with a Tier 1 Contractor delivering major projects across the utilities and infrastructure sectors. With a strong pipeline of work and long-term frameworks secured, the organisation is continuing to grow its commercial team and is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of the utilities projects. Working within a collaborative commercial team, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and commercially successfully.
Your new roleAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial management of a portfolio of infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing and managing applications for payment
Cost reporting, forecasting and CVR production
Subcontract procurement and account management
Managing variations and change control processes
Reviewing and administering contracts
Supporting compensation event and commercial change processes
Managing cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reporting
Working closely with operational teams to maximise value and minimise risk
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
Supporting project delivery across multiple sites where requiredThis role requires you to be in the office 3 days per week.
What you'll need to succeed
Quantity Surveying experience within utilities, nuclear, aviation, environmental or M&E
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role
Willing to go Permanent
White CSCS Card or relevant professional qualification
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
Experience producing CVRs, forecasts and cost reports
Experience managing subcontractor accounts and applications for payment
Good understanding of NEC contracts
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
