Location: Wigan
Hours: Rotating shifts 6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday (weekend work available)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and develop your skills within a growing company? We are currently recruiting for a Power Tool Operative to join our client's team in Wigan on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is a hands-on role involving the repair, refurbishment and maintenance of products using a range of power and hand tools. Previous experience using power tools is beneficial but not essential. We're looking for candidates who are practical, eager to learn and have a good understanding of tools and how they are used.

Responsibilities

Carry out repairs, refurbishment and maintenance of products using a variety of hand and power tools.
Diagnose basic faults and identify parts that require repair or replacement.
Follow work instructions and quality standards to ensure products are repaired correctly.
Inspect products before and after repair to ensure they meet company standards.
Maintain accurate records of completed work.
Work efficiently to meet productivity and quality targets.
Keep work areas clean, organised and safe at all times.
Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements

A good understanding of hand and power tools.
Previous experience in a hands-on, assembly, production, manufacturing, workshop or maintenance environment would be advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach to tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts of 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pm.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
