We are currently seeking an experienced Panel Wirer to join a growing engineering business based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of high-quality electrical and mechanical assemblies within a modern manufacturing environment. With a strong pipeline of projects and the potential to move into a permanent position, this role offers excellent long-term prospects.
Key Responsibilities as a Panel Wirer
As a Panel Wirer, your responsibilities will include:
Wiring and assembling electrical control panels and mechanical enclosures.
Crimping, terminating and routing cables to a high standard.
Reading and working from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
Building electrical and mechanical systems, including sub-assemblies.
Installing and testing completed electrical power units.
Carrying out quality checks to ensure all assemblies meet required specifications.
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.The successful Panel Wirer will ideally have:
Previous experience in a Panel Wirer, Electrical Fitter or similar role.
The ability to confidently read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring methods and best industry practices.
Good mechanical assembly skills with excellent attention to detail.
