Graduate Engineering Geologist
Location: Coventry
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 (Dependent on Experience)
About the Role
An established environmental and engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Engineering Geologist to join their expanding Coventry team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to one year of industry experience to begin their career within a supportive and experienced consultancy.
You will gain hands-on experience working on a wide variety of ground investigation, geotechnical, and contaminated land projects, supporting developments from initial site investigations through to reporting and project delivery. With a combination of site work, office-based reporting, and structured training, this role offers excellent long-term career progression.

Main Responsibilities
Assist with ground investigations on a variety of sites.
Log soil and rock samples in accordance with industry standards.
Carry out groundwater and ground gas monitoring.
Support Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
Collect environmental and geotechnical samples for laboratory testing.
Prepare factual reports with support from senior colleagues.
Maintain accurate site records and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Assist with data interpretation and technical report preparation.
Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and the wider project team.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
Previous site investigation experience through a placement, internship, or graduate role is beneficial but not essential.
A willingness to work outdoors and travel to project sites across the UK.
Strong communication and report writing skills.
Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to learning.
