Infrastructure Engineer
* Inside IR35
* 2-days on-site in High Wycombe
We're looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer with strong troubleshooting skills to investigate and resolve hardware, software and infrastructure issues across a mixed Windows, networking and peripheral environment.
A key part of this role is the ability to triage complex technical issues, establish test labs and facilitate technical workshops to identify root causes and drive effective resolutions.
Key responsibilities:
* Triage and investigate hardware, software and infrastructure issues across Windows PCs, networking equipment and peripheral devices.
* Set up and manage test labs to reproduce faults, validate fixes and support technical investigations.
* Lead technical workshops with internal teams and third-party suppliers to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
* Rebuild, reimage and configure Windows PCs and appliance-style devices.
* Diagnose issues involving USB devices, printers, serial connections, Routers and network connectivity.
* Perform basic electrical and connectivity checks, including power, cabling and continuity testing.
* Produce clear technical documentation, troubleshooting guides and standard operating procedures.
* Work closely with software engineers, support teams and external partners to identify root causes and implement repeatable solutions.
