£12.84 per hour base rate
20% shift allowance for hours worked outside core business hours (£15.41 per hour)
Overtime rates:
Midweek: £19.26 per hour
Weekend: £25.68 per hour
About the Role
We are looking for a professional and organised Receptionist / Personal Assistant to join our team in Birmingham. This is a varied role where you will be the first point of contact for visitors while providing administrative and organisational support to the business.
You will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day office activities, and supporting management with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Meeting and greeting visitors, customers, and contractors
Managing the reception area and handling incoming calls and emails
Organising meetings, appointments, and meeting rooms
Booking hotels, travel arrangements, and meals when required
Providing administrative support, including data entry, filing, and document management
Preparing correspondence and maintaining accurate records
Supporting customer visits and ensuring all arrangements are in place
Assisting managers with diary management and general PA duties
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a Receptionist, Administrator, PA, or similar office-based role
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
Confident using Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Professional and friendly manner when dealing with visitors and colleagues
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Enthusiastic, reliable, and quality-focused with a positive attitude
