Trainee Accountant
Salary: Up to £30,000 (DOE) Full‑time | Permanent | 9am–5.15pm
A great opportunity for an ambitious Trainee Accountant looking to build a long‑term career in practice. You’ll work closely with the Client Director, support a busy portfolio, and gain hands‑on experience across VAT, accounts, tax, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and submitting VAT returns, statutory accounts, and corporation tax returns
Reviewing client financial records for accuracy and compliance
Managing daily client queries and delivering excellent service
Communicating professionally via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams
Responding to internal and external email queries promptly
Maintaining internal control records and issuing client reminders
Representing company values in all client and colleague interactions
Working towards and exceeding KPIs and performance targets
What You’ll Need
AAT / ACCA / ACA (part‑qualified or qualified)
Minimum 1 year accounting industry experience
Experience using accounting software
Strong Microsoft Office and Outlook skills
Confident, eager to learn, and committed to developing your accounting career
Detail‑focused, organised, and adaptable
Strong communicator and supportive team player
