Our client, an established independent used car dealership located in Hereford, is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Technician to join their Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled automotive professional to develop their career within a reputable business serving the region for over 60 years.
Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician:
* Potential earnings up to £30,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience
* First-year loyalty bonus of £1,000, paid in two instalments of £500 at months 6 and 12
* Monthly performance-related bonus scheme (approx. £200+)
* 20 days annual holiday plus 8 bank holidays, rising to 23 days with service
* Bosch-accredited training and ongoing career development

* Working hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
* Conduct service, maintenance, and repair work on customer vehicles in line with manufacturer and dealership standards
* Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and communicate findings to the Service Manager
* Ensure repair work adheres to health, safety, and quality standards
* Maintain high levels of workmanship and customer satisfaction
* Complete relevant documentation and reports comprehensively and accurately
* Assist with vehicle inspections and health checks as required
* Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
* Support the team in meeting performance targets and objectives
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
* IMI/NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred, although strong demonstrable experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications
* Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
* Experience in a similar role within a busy dealership or repair environment
* Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair techniques
* Motivated, team-oriented, and customer-focused
* Ability to produce high-quality work within deadlines
* MOT licence would be advantageous but is not essential
