To be ideal you will be confident using MS Office, possess excellent communication skills, a great attention to details and enjoy learning processes.
After training you will assist with the timely processing of shipments in accordance with company policies and procedures and in compliance with UK Shipping and Export requirements.
PLEASE NOTE – Flexibility will be required around working hours as below
Duties and Responsibilities
Dealing with high volume data you will…
Update Shipping Spreadsheets and scanning documents into systems daily
Assist Import Co Ordinator with customs clearances and data input onto spreadsheets
Processing shipping paperwork using MFGPro system, Word and Excel
Booking shipments with couriers/freight forwarders using online websites/customer portals
Registering shipments with HM Customs
Processing Military Shipping release documentation as required
Invoicing shipments using
Resolving shipping issues/queries. Liaising with all Departments
Any other duties as required by the Logistics/Shipping Supervisor
Requirements
Good communication skills
Team player
Excellent organisation and time-management skills
Minimum of grade C GCSEs in Maths and English
Someone who is keen to learn and willing to work extra hours as the business requires
Working hours
Core office hours - 7am – 3.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7am – 11.30am Friday
Saturday working – 4 hours one in four weeks
Over time – Time and a half paid for over time and weekend working over the 37 hours
