We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Parts Advisor in Knutsford, Cheshire. Our client is a reputable independent specialist automotive garage, renowned for working with prestigious and performance vehicle brands. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Advisor to join their dedicated team. This is a proactive role requiring expertise in parts management, inventory control, and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful individual will support workshop operations, ensure stock accuracy, and contribute to overall departmental profitability.

Monday to Friday work schedule, 7am to 4:30pm (no weekends)

Provide expert advice and support to technicians and clients regarding vehicle parts
Manage parts stock levels and place orders with approved suppliers
Allocate parts correctly to workshop jobs and ensure accurate invoicing
Maintain an organised and efficient parts department
Support workshop scheduling and workflow coordination
Build strong relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and swift delivery
Monitor and control inventory, minimise obsolete stock, and manage warranty claims
Produce reports related to stock, purchasing, and departmental performance
Keep detailed records of all parts transactions and stock movements
Contribute to departmental profitability and workshop efficiencyRequirements of a Parts Advisor:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an automotive parts department role
Strong organisational and planning skills
Knowledge of automotive parts and supplier management
Experience with stock control and inventory management software
Good IT skills for administrative tasks
Commercial awareness focussed on profitability
Ability to thrive under pressure in a busy environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
