Location: Barnehurst, Bexley
Start: September 2026
Role Type: Speech and Language Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £33,000
Create Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barnehurst to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Speech and Language HLTA to join their dedicated inclusion team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the SENCO, teachers and external professionals, supporting pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You will play a key role in delivering targeted interventions that enable children to develop their communication skills, access learning successfully and achieve their full potential.

The Role:

Deliver targeted speech and language interventions for pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff and external Speech and Language Therapists
Plan, deliver and evaluate intervention programmes tailored to individual pupil needs
Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records of interventions
Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing confidence in communication
Promote an inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed
Contribute to the wider SEND provision and work collaboratively as part of the school's inclusion teamAbout You:

Hold a recognised HLTA qualification (or equivalent)
Have experience delivering speech and language interventions within a school setting
Have a strong understanding of Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Be passionate about inclusion and supporting children with additional needs
Be organised, proactive and able to work collaboratively with a range of professionals
Be committed to helping every child achieve their full potentialAbout the School:
