A leading process instrumentation manufacturer, based in Surrey, is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead its R&D function. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the engineering strategy, overseeing engineering deliverables, and ensuring the engineering organisation meets business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

Lead engineering and R&D teams across three locations.
Develop and implement the engineering strategy.
Oversee engineering delivery, performance, and continuous improvement.
Align engineering activities with business goals.

Essential requirements:

Significant experience leading an engineering or R&D organisation.
Strong background in the development of both mechanical and electronic/electrical products.
Experience within a regulated industry, such as defence, aerospace, medical devices or marine.
Degree qualified in Electronics, Mechanical or a related discipline.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
British citizenship is required due to the nature of the products and industry.
