A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support, helping pupils to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

The successful candidate will:

Have previous experience supporting pupils with SEND within a primary school setting
Have experience working with children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, or other additional learning needs
Be confident providing 1:1 support and leading small group interventions
Have a patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
Demonstrate excellent communication and behaviour management skills
Be passionate about promoting inclusion and supporting every child to succeed

The role will involve:

Supporting pupils with additional needs within the classroom and around the school
Delivering targeted interventions and implementing EHCP targets where appropriate
Encouraging pupils' independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
Adapting classroom resources to meet individual learning needs
Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
