We're looking for a Stock Deployment Lead to join our Global Procurement & Supply Chain team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced inventory, stock management, or supply chain professional to take ownership of finished goods deployment across our global Floors and Walls businesses.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time across our international operations. Working closely with commercial teams, planners, demand planners, distribution teams, and global stakeholders, you'll optimise inventory levels whilst balancing availability, efficiency, and working capital.
This is a full time, permanent, hybrid working role (3 days a week in the office in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire)
So, what will you be doing?
Key responsibilities include:
Setting stock targets, safety stock levels, and lead times across global locations
Defining and managing stock categorisation strategies (ABC analysis)
Collaborating with planning teams to optimise production runs
Managing inter-company stock transfers and global inventory deployment
Working with demand planners to identify trends and forecast changes
Developing processes that enable efficient global stock movements
Driving improvements in stock turn and inventory efficiency
Modelling inventory scenarios to support working capital decisions
Identifying slow-moving stock and implementing mitigation strategies
Supporting successful new product launches and legacy product exits
Establishing standardised global processes and reporting progress through KPIs
What skills and experience will you need to be successful in the role?
You'll be a highly analytical supply chain professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and influencing stakeholders across a global organisation.
Essential experience and skills:
Significant experience in stock management, inventory planning, supply chain, or a similar analytical role
Strong experience using ERP/business systems such as JD Edwards (or equivalent)
Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information and make informed decisions
Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail
Willingness to travel internationally when required (roughly once a quarter)
Desirable:
Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline
Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment
Knowledge of global trade regulations, customs requirements, and international shipping standards
Experience delivering process improvement and standardisation initiatives
Project management experience
