Composite Laminator

Position Title: Automotive Composite Laminator - Supercar Programme

Duration: Contract

Location: Rotherham

Job Description:

Lay-Up & Manufacturing:

Perform pre-preg carbon fibre lay-up to engineering drawings, ply books, and work instructions
Manufacture complex composite components (Class A surfaces, structural parts)
Ensure correct ply orientation, stacking sequence, and material handling
Work with a variety of materials including carbon fibre, glass fibre, and core materials (e.g. honeycomb, foam)

Tooling & Preparation:

Prepare moulds and tooling to required standards (cleaning, release agents, bagging prep)
Apply vacuum bagging techniques including:
Peel ply
Breather / bleeder layers
Vacuum films and sealing
Ensure tooling integrity and readiness for autoclave curing

Curing & Processing:

Support autoclave and oven curing processes
Monitor curing cycles and ensure adherence to process parameters
Handle components post-cure, including de-bagging and initial inspection
