We're looking for an Exam Access Arrangements Officer to join our Inclusive Learning team on a part time basis, 22.2 hours per weeks, 42 weeks per year(term time). This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring students with additional needs receive the appropriate exam access arrangements, helping to create an inclusive and equitable assessment experience across the College.

Working closely with learners, curriculum teams, assessors, parents and awarding bodies, you'll coordinate the end-to-end exam access arrangements process while ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements.

What you'll do:

Coordinate referrals and appointments for Exam Access Arrangements (EAAs) following referrals from staff, admissions, enrolment, parents and external agencies.

Gather and maintain the documentation required to support access arrangement applications.

Liaise with schools to obtain previous assessment evidence and supporting documentation.

Submit online applications for exam access arrangements in line with JCQ and awarding body regulations.

Monitor and maintain accurate learner records, ensuring awarded arrangements are recorded on College systems.

Work closely with teaching staff to gather evidence of learners' normal way of working.

Communicate exam access arrangements to learners, parents and curriculum teams.

Support the Exams team in preparing assessments, including arranging modified papers, specialist equipment, additional invigilators and alternative examination venues.

Provide training and support for learners using assistive technologies such as reading pens, speech-to-text software and other approved resources.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of inclusive assessment practices across the College.

What we're looking for:

Five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4/C or above, including English and Maths.

Experience working in an administrative role with excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.

Experience supporting learners with SEND or additional learning needs.

A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with learners, staff and external agencies.

Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of JCQ regulations, Access Arrangements Online or exam access arrangements would be advantageous.

APAAC (Award of Proficiency in Access Arrangements Coordination), or a willingness to work towards this qualification.

A willingness to train as a qualified Exam Access Arrangements Assessor through a Level 5 qualification.
