Production Engineer

Location: Newbury

Salary: £47,500 benefits

Are you a Production Engineer with experience supporting manufacturing processes and driving continuous improvement? Do you enjoy solving technical problems, improving efficiency and working closely with production teams to deliver high-quality products?

We're recruiting for a Production Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business supplying highly engineered products into a range of advanced technology sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company experiencing continued growth, where you'll play a key role in supporting production operations, introducing new products and improving manufacturing processes.

The role:

As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

Oversee manufacturing and test processes, ensuring procedures and specifications remain up to date
Provide technical support to production teams and resolve manufacturing issues
Ensure tooling, build aids and test equipment are available and fit for purpose
Support new product introduction activities and manufacturing readiness
Raise and implement engineering change documentation
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production environment
Investigate root causes of production issues and implement corrective actions
Deliver training on new products, equipment and processes
Provide technical support to Sales, Purchasing and Engineering departments
Support preventative maintenance and TPM activities
Work closely with Quality teams to maintain product standards and improve yield
Support operational objectives relating to delivery, quality and productivity
About you:

To be successful in this Production Engineer role, you’ll need:

Previous experience within a Production Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling and test equipment
Experience supporting production teams in a manufacturing environment
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
Good working knowledge of Excel and MRP systems
Experience using CAD software
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering would be advantageous
A proactive and continuous improvement mindset
