Project Architect

Location: Newbury

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

An established, design-focused architectural practice with an outstanding reputation for delivering prestigious residential projects is looking to appoint a Project Architect to join its growing team in Newbury. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of bespoke luxury homes, work closely with discerning private clients, and become part of a highly respected studio recognised for its commitment to exceptional design and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the delivery of bespoke residential schemes across all RIBA stages from inception through to completion
* Coordinate clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to programme
* Produce and develop high-quality design proposals, technical drawings, specifications, and construction information
* Monitor project programmes, budgets, resources, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle
* Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants while resolving technical and design challenges as they arise
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholders throughout each commission
* Support and mentor junior members of the architectural team where appropriate
* Promote sustainable design principles and contribute to environmentally responsible project solutions

Skills & Experience

* ARB-registered Architect with proven experience delivering projects within the UK
* Demonstrable experience working on luxury private residential developments across multiple RIBA stages
* Strong technical knowledge with the ability to coordinate and manage complex residential projects
* Confident working alongside clients, consultants, contractors, and wider project teams
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Experience using Vectorworks would be beneficial
* Understanding of sustainable design principles, with Passivhaus knowledge or certification considered an advantage
* Commercially aware with the ability to balance design quality, programme requirements, and project budgets
