Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £46,800
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)
A leading manufacturing company is looking to recruit an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineers to join its established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment where you'll play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, minimising downtime and driving continuous improvement.
The Role
As an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production machinery and site equipment. You'll work closely with production to maximise equipment performance, troubleshoot electrical faults and contribute to ongoing improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
Electrical fault finding, diagnosis and repair
Mechanical maintenance and equipment improvements
PLC and inverter fault finding
Installation of electrical components and small project work
Minimise downtime through effective troubleshooting
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Complete maintenance documentation accurately
Work closely with production to maximise plant performance
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards About You
We're looking for an electrically biased engineer who has experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or food production environment.
Ideally you'll have:
A recognised electrical engineering qualification
Strong electrical fault-finding skills
Mechanical maintenance experience
Experience working on production machinery
Knowledge of PLCs, inverters and industrial control systems
A proactive approach to problem solving
Excellent communication and team-working skills What's on Offer?
