Are you a proactive Health & Safety Advisor looking to join a growing civil engineering contractor delivering challenging infrastructure projects?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established regional contractor with a strong pipeline of work across the Midlands. Due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support projects including pumping stations, reinforced concrete structures, heavy civils and infrastructure schemes based around Leamington Spa.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that genuinely values health and safety, where you'll play a key role in driving high standards across live construction sites.
The Role
Working closely with operational teams, you'll be responsible for promoting a positive safety culture while ensuring projects remain compliant with current legislation and company procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out regular site inspections and audits.
* Advising site teams on health, safety and environmental best practice.
* Supporting project teams with RAMS reviews and safe systems of work.
* Investigating incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
* Delivering toolbox talks and safety briefings.
* Monitoring compliance with company procedures and CDM Regulations.
* Assisting with client audits and external inspections.
* Building strong working relationships with site management, subcontractors and clients.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within civil engineering or construction.
* Experience working on heavy civils, reinforced concrete, pumping stations, infrastructure or similar projects.
* NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum).
* Good understanding of CDM Regulations and current HSE legislation.
* Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence site teams.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
