About the Role
MTVH are looking for a Caretaker to deliver high-quality estate services across designated schemes, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for residents. This role plays a vital part in maintaining customer satisfaction by supporting estate operations, carrying out minor repairs, and working closely with other teams to protect MTVH's assets and uphold service standards.
Therefore, as part of the Customer Services team, you will work collaboratively with housing, maintenance, and support teams to provide excellent front-line service. You will be visible on estates, engaging with residents, addressing issues promptly, and contributing to a safe, welcoming, and well-managed environment.
Key responsibilities
Deliver day-to-day caretaking services, including estate inspections, cleaning oversight, and reporting repairs
Carry out minor maintenance tasks and support the upkeep of communal areas and facilities
Monitor estate safety, including lighting, security, and reporting anti-social behaviour or risks
Support waste management and recycling processes, working with contractors and local authorities
Engage with residents, provide updates, and support customer service delivery across the estate
What you'll need to succeed
Experience carrying out basic repairs and maintaining environments to a good standard
Strong customer service and communication skills with a resident-focused approach
Ability to organise, prioritise tasks, and work independently
Basic IT skills and the ability to record and report information accurately
A proactive, flexible approach with a commitment to safeguarding and supporting residents
To meet our commitment to providing safe, high quality services to our customers we will complete a standard level background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, once an offer of employment is made. As standard you will be added to the DBS updating service with a new check being carried out on a 3 yearly basis. The cost of a DBS will be paid for by the organisation.
