A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing & Contracts Manager to join a global manufacturing organisation in a newly created role. This position offers the chance to take ownership of contract governance, supplier management and procurement activities within a complex international business, while helping shape and develop a growing function.Reporting into the Business Governance team, you will work closely with Procurement, Finance, Compliance, IT and international stakeholders, ensuring robust contract management processes are in place and delivering commercial value across the organisation.
Your new role
Key responsibilities will include:

Managing the full contract life cycle, from negotiation and implementation through to renewal and termination.
Supporting supplier contract management, terms and conditions reviews, and compliance activities.
Developing and maintaining a centralised contract and lease management database.
Driving contract governance improvements and increasing visibility of key contractual obligations.
Leading supplier performance, consolidation and rationalisation initiatives.
Supporting procurement activities across a range of indirect spend categories.
Managing property leases, supplier agreements and service contracts.
Collaborating with UK and international stakeholders on approvals, governance and compliance requirements.
Overseeing company fleet contracts and supplier relationships.
Supervising a Purchasing Assistant and supporting wider procurement objectives.What you'll need to succeed
We are keen to speak with professionals who have experience within contract management, procurement, commercial governance or supplier relationship management environments.You will ideally possess:

Strong contract negotiation and contract management experience.
Commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder management skills.
The ability to work effectively with procurement, legal and operational teams.
Experience managing supplier relationships and improving governance processes.
Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
A proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
Confidence engaging with both UK and international stakeholders.What you'll get in return

Salary circa £50,000 - £55,000.
Hybrid working model (3 days on-site).
