Looking for more than just another welding job?
A well-established engineering manufacturer near Newmarket is looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join its growing workshop team. Working on the manufacture of large agricultural machinery, you'll be producing high-quality fabrications that play a key part in the finished product.
This is a permanent opportunity with regular overtime available, day shifts and the chance to join a business that values quality workmanship, reliability and people who want to build a long-term career.
What you'll be doing
You'll be part of an experienced manufacturing team, working from engineering drawings to fabricate and weld large steel components to a consistently high standard.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
*
MIG welding and fabrication of large steel assemblies.
*
Working from detailed engineering drawings.
*
Cutting, shaping, assembling and finishing fabricated components.
*
Using workshop machinery, hand tools and power tools safely.

Supporting colleagues to ensure production targets are achieved.
What we're looking for
We're interested in skilled welders who take pride in their work.
Ideally you'll have:
*
Previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator.
*
Strong MIG welding skills.
*
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
*
Experience working on larger fabrications, structural steel, agricultural equipment or heavy engineering.
*
Excellent attention to detail.
*
A reliable approach with a solid work history.
*
A genuine desire to become part of a long-standing workshop team.
If you've developed the right skills, the number of years you've been welding is less important than the quality of your work.
What's on offer?
*
£14.50 - £15.80 per hour, depending on experience.
*
Permanent, full-time position.
*
Monday to Friday day shifts.
*
Overtime opportunities.
*
Company pension.
*
Free on-site parking.
*
Stable employment with a respected engineering manufacturer.
*
A friendly, supportive workshop where skilled tradespeople are valued.
If you're looking for a role where you'll work on substantial engineering projects, be part of a close-knit team and have the opportunity to build a long-term career, we'd love to hear from you
