QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

Location: Corby
Pay Rate: Dependant on Experience £34 to £40k
Hours: 9am to 6pm - Monday to Friday
Job Type: PERMANENT

Fox Resourcing & Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation.

The successful candidate will ensure that all incoming, stored and outgoing goods meet the required quality standards. You will also prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, manage quality documentation and provide quality-related training to warehouse employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Inspect incoming raw materials, packaging and finished goods against approved specifications.

* Verify quantities, labels, batch numbers, expiry dates and the physical condition of goods.

* Identify non-conforming materials and arrange segregation, rejection or corrective action.

* Complete routine in-process and outbound quality checks and audits.

* Work closely with warehouse, procurement and production teams to resolve quality issues.

* Prepare, review and update Standard Operating Procedures relating to inspection, storage, handling and dispatch.

* Maintain document version control and ensure current procedures are available to employees.

* Update procedures following audits, deviations or operational changes.

* Deliver quality and SOP training to warehouse employees.

* Maintain training schedules, attendance records and competency assessments.

* Provide on-the-job guidance and promote a strong quality and compliance culture.

* Maintain accurate inspection reports, checklists, deviation reports and non-conformance records.

* Assist with internal and external audits by providing the required documents and records.

* Track corrective and preventive actions and ensure they are completed within agreed timescales.

* Support compliance with relevant ISO, GMP, BRC or other applicable quality standards.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or supply-chain environment.

* Ideally, between one and three years of relevant experience.

* Experience preparing SOPs and maintaining controlled documents.

* Knowledge of quality inspection processes and record management.

* A diploma or degree in Quality, Science, Engineering or a related subject would be beneficial.

* Quality Management System certification, including ISO, GMP or BRC, would be advantageous.

SKILLS REQUIRED

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.

* Confident communication and training abilities.

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

* Experience using documentation or ERP systems would be beneficial.

* Ability to work independently and collaborate with different departments.

* A proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
