Location: Northampton (Office Based)
Salary: From £55,000 per annum (Negotiable DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm

Job Description
Stridden Limited are recruiting on behalf of an established Groundworks & Civil Engineering Contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based in Northampton.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected contractor delivering residential and commercial groundworks projects across Northampton and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be office-based, with regular visits to live sites as required.
Key Duties
* Managing the commercial aspects of multiple groundworks projects from inception through to final account.
* Preparing and submitting valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
* Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and accounts.
* Preparing cost plans, forecasts and budgets.
* Identifying, pricing and negotiating variations.
* Monitoring project costs and reporting on financial performance.
* Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and clients to ensure projects remain commercially successful.
* Producing accurate cost reports and ensuring financial targets are achieved.
* Managing contractual documentation and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within Groundworks or Civil Engineering is essential.
* Strong knowledge of residential and commercial groundworks packages.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or HNC in Quantity Surveying
* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
* Strong understanding of NEC and JCT forms of contract.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Package
* £50,000 salary (negotiable depending on experience).
* Company car with fuel card or car allowance.
* Office-based role in Northampton.
* Projects located across Northampton and the surrounding areas.
