The Role:
Are you an organised and proactive Buyer with strong SAP and Excel skills? Do you enjoy building relationships with suppliers, keeping operations running smoothly, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
Our client is a global leader within the engineering space, providing innovative solutions to customers worldwide. They are looking to add an enthusiastic Buyer to their purchasing team, where you'll play a key role in ensuring materials are ordered, tracked and delivered efficiently while working closely with both suppliers and internal departments.
Main Responsibilities for the Buyer:
* Raising and issuing purchase orders
* Chasing suppliers for delivery updates and outstanding orders
* Updating the sales team with delivery information
* Maintaining sales boards with the latest supply information
* Adding order acknowledgements into the MRP/SAP system
* Running shortage reports for customer orders
* Raising requisition orders
* Monitoring and updating delivery schedules
* Communicating supplier price changes to internal teams
* Providing ad hoc support to the stores department when required
Skills & Experience required for the Buyer:
* Previous experience in a Buyer or Purchasing role
* Alternatively, strong administration experience within a purchasing or manufacturing environment
* SAP experience is essential
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Confident liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Able to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a busy environment
* A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
Salary & Working Hours of the Buyer:
Competitive (depending on experience)
