Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead multidisciplinary teams across project management, engineering, commercial, planning, commissioning and health and safety. You will also shape the division’s long-term growth strategy and report performance to the Executive Board.

Key responsibilities:

* Provide overall leadership and direction for the Data Centre Projects Division.

* Take ownership of divisional revenue, margin, profitability, budgets and forecasting.

* Ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, on programme and to the required technical standards.

* Maintain robust commercial controls, project governance and performance reporting.

* Build senior relationships with data centre operators, developers, consultants, main contractors and supply-chain partners.

* Support major tenders, bid reviews and the conversion of opportunities into secured projects.

* Identify emerging market opportunities and improvements to the division’s delivery model.

* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, construction legislation and HSQE requirements.

About you:

You should be able to demonstrate:

* At least 15 years’ experience within engineering, construction, data centres or mission-critical environments.

* A successful record of delivering large and technically complex MEP projects or programmes.

* Divisional, regional or business-unit leadership experience.

* Direct P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, margin management and commercial risk.

* Leadership of multidisciplinary project, engineering, commercial, planning and commissioning teams.

* A detailed understanding of data centre delivery, including pre-construction, design coordination, procurement, commissioning and handover.

* Experience developing business strategy and delivering sustainable growth.

* Strong relationships within the UK data centre market.

* Knowledge of NEC, JCT and other standard construction contracts.

* A degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.

* IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS and a CSCS Black Manager Card.

This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of an established projects division and shape its future position within the rapidly growing data centre market.
