Job Description: Production Planner
Location: Bar Hill
Salary: £35,000
Joining bonus of £1500 after 6 months service
Hours: (Apply online only) Monday to Thursday, Friday (Apply online only)We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic Production Planner to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an organised and proactive individual with experience in production planning, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production operations by ensuring materials, schedules, and orders are managed efficiently to meet customer requirements and business objectives.Key Responsibilities:
Convert planned orders into production orders when required for kitting and manufacturing
Check for material shortages during order conversion and communicate issues to purchasing
Maintain accurate records of shortages and update relevant spreadsheets
Enter and maintain production commit dates
Review pick lists and investigate unpicked items, identifying:
Genuine stock shortages
CPN/MPN/BOM discrepancies
Amend production order component lists where required and liaise with stores to ensure materials are available
Monitor shortage reports and proactively resolve issues
Respond to production-related enquiries and provide support to internal teams
Support customer service enquiries relating to production requirements
Assist with stocktakes and inventory control activities
Investigate and resolve production order variances
Support material transactions and maintain accurate system recordsSkills & Experience Required:
Previous experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment
Experience using MRP systems (SAP experience desirable but not essential)
Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with multiple departments
Proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Confident working independently as well as part of a teamBenefits:
