CNC Programmer/Setter - Turning

This long-standing engineering business is a key supplier to a global AAA client base, with customers relying on their services for over 20 years and a strong long term order book continuing to provide security for the future.

There's a range of machinery on site, primarily with fanuc controls and you'll be programming at the machine from drawings. No CAD/CAM experience required as essential, though there's scope to develop in this area. Products will vary in complexity in terms of geometry and there's challenge in a diverse range of materials. You'll join a welcoming and supportive team of mixed experience in a collaborative environment with an exciting, forward thinking company that works hard to ensure that colleagues feel as valued as customers.

This is what you'll be doing:

Programme, set and operate CNC lathes to manufacture high-precision components in line with engineering drawings and required tolerances.
Inspect components to ensure they meet drawing tolerances, to the quality required
Support the wider production team, maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety, and providing guidance to colleagues where required.The experience you'll need in this role:

Previous experience working in a similar CNC Turning or precision machining role, ideally with 3-5 years' experience.
Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and dimensional tolerances, with strong attention to detail.And this is what you'll get in return:
